We delight in sending our volunteers to projects throughout Botswana, from the legendary swamps of the Okavango Delta with its unbeatable diversity of wildlife, to the vast wildernesses of the Kalahari Desert and Makgadikadi Pans.

The programs range from two weeks to three months and cover a wide range of projects as diverse as teaching in local Bushman schools to tracking and researching endangered wildlife species.

At Last Wilderness we have a long association with Botswana which is a safe and peaceful country with vast areas set aside for wildlife and communities and is therefore an ideal place to have a gap year experience.
